Joe was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, he relocated to Tampa Bay where he earned his law degree from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Joe served as President of the Hispanic Student Bar Association and Vice President of the Student Bar Association. He is also an alumnus of Florida Blue Key – the University of Florida’s most prestigious leadership honorary. 

Joe focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, automotive negligence, products liability, wrongful death, and general civil litigation matters. Prior to joining Pipas Law Group, Joe practiced with two nationally recognized law firms where he defended clients against claims involving premises liability, car accidents, and other tort claims. He also served as an in-house counsel for one of Florida’s largest insurance companies. Because of his extensive experience and knowledge of defending personal injury claims, Joe is well-suited to effectively represent those who have been injured by the negligence of others. 

When he is not advocating for his clients, Joe enjoys reading, spending time with his wife, Stephanie; visiting the dog park with their dog, Levi; and cheering on his beloved Florida Gators.
